My new favorite scarf from Acne. I bought one in camel last fall but I lost it after a fun night out – so I really wanted a new one this season. I also wanted a new one in camel but the colour was so different from last year, and I did not like it at all (super ugly – if I may say it).. I still want one in grey or marine, then my collection is getting mighty fine. It feels so wrong buying scarfs and cardigans in wool when the sun is shining and the temperature is like 30-40 degrees, but if I don’t do it now it’s for sure sold out later. I am so glad I bought the Raya cardigan, I use it all the time. Perfect for late summer nights. Maybe I need one in dove white as well? I think so :-)
These days I am just working, beaching, tanning and eating good food every day. It really feels like I am on a long vacation (except from working), because it is so extremely hot, and relaxing. It’s been some perfect summer days – and more is yet to come.

Yesterday we visited one of our friend and his family on an island outside the city, called Veierland. It is drop dead beautiful, with the nature and ocean around. I really love Norwegian summer, it looks so pretty. And they had the cutest dog, called Prince. Looks like a teddy bear right? You just want to hold him and pet him all the time. I wish we could have a dog, but it is no time for that with work and school.
It was so lovely ending our day out here after long ours working inside when the sun was shining. Great food, nice company and sunny weather – it does not get better than that in my opinion. We’re lucky this summer having amazing weather, so all in all i am pretty glad we decided to wait with our vacation until fall. Hope you all are having a lovely time enjoying the beautiful summer days.
It’s been some lazy days now that I have had two days off work. And we even got the sun back today. So after some hours outside, me and some girls headed to the beach for some tanning and relaxing. I always forget my camera though, so this is just some snaps from my instagram account. I am way better at updating that one. You can follow me at @synnelivang if you want.
Dinner at Himmel & Hav yesterday at Tønsberg’s marina – They have the best tapas in town, really. We were watching the word cup yesterday (not me though, I just don’t like football at all). But it was a great evening with dinner and some chit chat with sweet girls.
Tomorrow it’s back to work again, but I get off early every day this week – so maybe I can work a little more on my tan and end the days at the beach. I have to enjoy every minute of this summer in Tønsberg, because soon we are heading to Bergen. It’s a little sad going, but at the same time I am all excited for a new chapter to begin. Me updating le blog is like a roller-coaster these days though, because I want to do everything before I am moving (that does not include sitting on my mac-book). It will get better when we get to the city. Talk later peeps.

Our little pit-stop at Starbucks and Waynes Coffee when we was visiting Bergen this monday. Seriously, I am getting fluffy if we are staying there for six years. I could drink Java chip, Chocolate chip and regular latte every day for the rest of my life. Haha.
This week have been loaded with work, and what a surprise now that the weather have been A-mazing. I always end up working when the sun is shining and the temperature is like 30 degrees. Oh well, I need the money for our vacation so I can’t complain (just a little – or a lot).
Nothing much have happened this week, except for our one day trip to Bergen this monday. AND our decision about the Maldives. I am so glad the weekend started, I am gonna enjoy every second of it. After work we had a small BBQ with some friends before they are heading to Barcelona and Sardinia. Lucky bastards. Super cozy and the food was so good. Homemade burgers, chicken, aioli and focaccia bread. Food-baby in the making at the moment, and a lot of relaxing this evening. Have a lovely weekend peeps, and enjoy the sunny weather as much as you can!
Looks amazing right?
It is not enough jumping straight into the clear blue water, one also need a jacuzzi as well. Do I complain – not at all.
So it is decided – we are going to the Maldives after the summer, one time in september I think. I have been looking at this hotel for so long, but it is on request, which means I had to email the company to see if it is still available (water villa with a jacuzzi outside – I am in heaven). Everyone is talking about how expensive it is, but this one actually includes all inclusive and you get some boat-trips, diving lessons and other water activities included in the price. And if you love food and drinks like me, a 14 days vacations can be really expensive at the end. Oh well, let’s just hope this one is available. I still got some other hotels at hold (and they look superb as well – so happy-happy-mode-in-Tønsberg-town-at-the-moment).
I am currently trying out this Tiny Tea from Your Tea. Two times a day for two weeks, and it is supposed to increase your energy level and cleans your body and skin. Have anyone ever tried it before? I really wonder if it works. I am on my third day now and my energy is boosting (but so is the sun, and we all know that is a energy bomb as well. Haha!)
My relaxing days are officially over as well, and I am back at work again. Four weeks non-stop and then I am moving to Bergen city. We really wanted a vacation this summer, but in between selling our apartment, some smaller trips, buying a new place and working, it really was no time for that. BUT, after the summer we are thinking about going to the Maldives – that would be a mind blowing experience, it just looks beyond amazing. Full time relaxing, tanning and beaching all day long. Oh, I get excited even writing about it, so I am crossing my fingers about this one! What’s your summer plans this year?

My last outfit-post from our trip to Stockholm. Not a good combination wearing shorts when the sun was hiding and the weather was so grumpy and cold. But my suitcase contained only one pair of white jeans, so I had very few options dressing. Why can’t I bring my whole closet? I always end up wanting to wear something I didn’t bring.
Today me and my baby were flying to Bergen again, and the weather was not as good as the last time. It was cloudy and raining the whole day, and the city I fell in love with last time suddenly looked so sad. Haha. Oh well, we were only going to sign the contract for the apartment, and we finally got to see the place in real life. It was a little scary buying a place without looking at it first – but it looked so compelling in the pictures, and had a big terrace on the garden level that was a must-have for me (living in a block was not an option, but it was so many of them, i felt so happy I found this one). And guess what, it still looked great in real life, fully upgraded with a new kitchen, new floors, newly painted and it had a nice bathroom as well. After they renovated it nobody has been living there, so it is fresh and ready for us to move right in.
Btw, do you want me to write in english? (I know my writing is not that good). I just find it annoying writhing my blog both in english and norwegian, but when reading other blogs I really appreciate good writing and not that many spelling mistakes. So let me know if you find it annoying and I will switch back to norwegian again, and just do a shorter version in english. Now it is time to jump into bed, since my morning started 05:00 this morning.
We had some lovely days in Stockholm, with some shopping, a little tourist-much-do things and a lot of amazing food experiences. If you want to shop in Stockholm you should start with the street Drotningsgatan, it is packed with the main stores as Zara, H&M, Brandy Melville, Mango and a lot more. At the end of the street you find a mall called Åhlens, with brands as Acne, Filippa K, Samsoe & Samsoe, Ralph Lauren and many others. At the lower level you can buy cosmetics and accessories from all the well known brands. I found a really nice tee from Samsoe & Samsoe, but not a lot more than that.
If you would like too use more money then I suggest heading over to Biblioteksgatan, and the street right next to (its a place called Støreplan i think), and be sure to peek into the small alleys that combine the two streets. You have stores as Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Mulberry. And they also have some small shops that carries brands as Christian Louboutin, Givenchy, Proenza Schouler and Alexander Wang (all the goodies in one place) to mention some. Just ask someone and they will tell you the name and brands they carry. I would have walked right pass them if I didn’t ask, because these stores was well hidden I tell you.
A little coffee break between the sightseeing and shopping is mandatory off course.

When it comes to food my favorite place was Sally’s in old town. You walk pass the castle and stroll along the small alleys with restaurants at every corner. They look so charming and lovely, and I wanted to eat at every restaurant we walked past. We had lunch at this cute greek restaurant the next day but I don’t remember the name (shame on me). Anyway, they have a wide selection so just take a peek into the places and pick the one that looks charming (I do that all the time).
Okay, so enough about food, for now at least. I just love eating out tasting new food, even though I am quit picky I have to taste something new. I am a food lover eating so many different dishes I get a food-baby every time. Haha.
Now let’s talk about some tourist-most-do-things when you visit Stockholm. We stayed at a place in Kungsgatan, it is the main street and then you have everything in walking distance. Between shopping and eating we went to the royal palace, and that place is huge and looks amazing (if you are from Norway like me, our castle looks like a cabin compared to this one). Also you can go inside, and look at the fabulous church, the treasures and of course these old rooms with furniture that goes way back.
Walking around in old town is quite an experience as well, with super old buildings, and small lovely shops and restaurants. I am just a little sad the weather was so lumpy and grey, because I was a bit cold and didn’t want to walk very far. We were supposed to take a ride with a tourist boat (I so wanted to do this), but me hating the weather at the moment fetched a cab back to the hotel and so did the others. Anyway, it looked like a lovely ride, but it would have been better if the sun was up.

We did not have much time in the city but I felt that we managed to do a lot in such a short time. If you are wondering about anything don’t hesitate to ask. All in all Stockholm was a really pretty city, with amazing buildings, great restaurants and of course you can shop-til-u-drop here as well. Our capital Oslo is nothing compared (it can’t compare to any city in my opinion), and I am so glad I chose studying in Bergen and not in Oslo. Hope you find this a little helpful if you are going to Stockholm.
